Picture this........

Picture this..................your child's baseball team is playing their final game and if they win, they will receive first place for the season.  So, next thing you see, is the bases are loaded, we are losing 1 to 4,  there are two outs, and your child is up to bat!!!  What would you think???  Oh My!! No pressure or anything......This was ME.  So, want to know the rest of the story?????

There we are, bases loaded, two outs, and Braden is at bat.  Next thing I realized he connected with the ball.......I started screaming and realize the ball just flew by the short stop and is heading into the outfield!!! Can you say GRAND SLAM................Yes, my baby just hit a grand slam, making the score 5 to 4 we are winning.  I could not get to him fast enough to give him a big hug!! (and, yes I was crying!!) This was such an awesome game.....but as luck would have it, we ended up losing our 3rd game of the season and we got second place. However, at this point all I could think was My BaBy just hit a GrAnD SLaM!!! I am so proud of him.  He has come such a long way with baseball this year and I hope he continues.  WE LoVe You,  B!!!!

Disney 2011

We had a wonderful seven days in Disney this year.  We again stayed at Bay Lake Towers, which is definitely our favorite.  Braden had a blast because it was Star Wars Weekend at Hollywood Studios!  This is the first year that we went to Hollywood studios and it was surely a hit! Braden braved the Rockin Rollercoaster, but his favorite was The American Idol Experience.  He enjoyed getting to vote....we even stayed late one night so we could see the finale show for that day.  We did our usual Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom too.  Ella's favorite section was closed in  Magic Kingdom while they re-do it....so she was disappointed she did not get to ride the goofy rollercoaster, but next year it will be even better for her!!

My girl spinning me on the tea cups. UGHHH!

Ella's Brithday Weekend

On Friday before Ella's birthday, my mom and I took her to the American Girl Doll store in Atlanta.  She got to pick out a doll from her great grandpa.  She picked out the little girl that had brown hair, blue eyes, and a few freckles across her nose, just like her!!  She was just in hog heaven!

We then got to eat lunch in the little restaurant with her doll.  It was very neat! They have chairs for the dolls, and even bring the dolls "tea" to drink.  At the end, they sang Happy Birthday to her which was very special!!  It was a fun day! I just LoVe shopping in Atlanta. (eventhough I do not get to do it very often)

Ella's birthday party  was the next day. She decided to have a minnie mouse party this year.  I was good with that since we are going to Disney in just a few short weeks.  She invited all the kids from her small little class, a few good friends, and family.  It was a small and very fun party. All the kids had a great time playing pin the flower on minnie, breaking the pinata, and playing on the playground. We did it at the local Gazebo beside the park and it could not be any more perfect. The weather was absolutely perfect.  It could not have been a better day!!

Happy 5th Birthday Ella

My Dearest Ella,

I cannot believe that you are already 5.  I can still remember the day you were born like it was yesterday.  Your daddy and I always joke about that long drive to Macon everytime we go down that highway. I will never forget my first thought when I saw you for the first time!! I thought you were the prettiest thing I had ever seen, and still do!!

You are already in pre-k and you are doing so well.  I cannot believe that you are going to kindergarten next year. (that is if I let you go! HA!) I am amazed how quickly you are learning your sight words.  We just finished wee ball and you got to play on the pitcher's mound  and caught nearly ever ball that came your way.  You will even "share" a ball with your friends that you caught.  What a SwEeT girl you are.

You still are loving playing with your dolls and just got into polly pockets.  How you keep from losing all those little pieces, I do not know! :)

Your dad and I are just smitten with your personality! You are such a hoot and very quick witted.  You definitely did not get that from me.  I must say what a pretty little girl you are, and, for the most part, you have a sweet personality to go with it.  At times, we still have our hard-headedness....but I guess what child doesn't.

We love you to the moon and back!!!  We are so glad that God chose us to be your parents.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Easter 2011

Our Easter weekend began on Saturday morning at the annual Reynold's Egg Hunt. It is always a blast and this year was one of the best ever. They put over over 7, 000 eggs, and it takes about 30 seconds to collect them all!!! The kids had a great time as usual.

 Ready for the egg hunt!!

 Waiting is so HaRd!

Here is a small view of the 7,000 eggs.
 And they're off!

Ella would not go see the Easter bunny without her brother!! He was kind enough to go with her!

Then, that afternoon we had to finish dying our eggs.

Finally, Easter Sunday arrived and we were off to church, an egg
hunt, and dinner with my parents.

We had a very BLeSsEd Easter!! We hope that you did too!!
