Ella's school did their annual K-4 Thanksgiving program. Ella was a "kid on the bus." They sang a few songs before the program in Spanish, which is sad to admit that I think she knows more than I do. The program was very cute! She did a great job! My mom said it was hard to see her on stage performing- I would rather her still be sitting in the audience with me! I would have to agree! Why do they have to grow up?!? :)
They stuffed their shirts because they ate the turkeys!!! Too cute!!
I just cannot seem to find the time to blog lately. Anyways, we have been very busy lately so be ready for a picture overload. First, we spent oneSaturday in October at the pumpkin patch. Marc said he has NeVeR been to one before so he decided to go with us. He said he was glad he did!!! The kids had a great time picking out their pumpkins. Of course, Braden had to have one so heavy he could not carry it, and Ella had to have a very small pumpkin.
Next, the kids went to Trunk or Treat at their school. Braden was a fisherman and Ella was Princess Ariel.
WARNING: You will see more pictures of Ella than Braden. For some reason, Braden goes into hiding when he sees me with the camera. I hope it is just a short phase!! :)
Then, we were off for our Disney Halloween Birthday Celebration for my sweet 8 year old!!! We had a great time! This time we went to Epcot, Braden's favorite, and Magic Kingdon, my favorite. We even rode a few new rides at Magic Kingdom, even after we have been there 5 times!!!
Braden got to choose where we ate for dinner the night of his birthday . He chose T-Rex! It is a great place, but it is LOUD! They even brought Braden a small birthday surprise!!! Then we were off to trick or treat at downtown Disney!! That is always fun!!
WOW! It has been awhile since the last time I blogged. We have been just trying to get into the swing of things with both kids being in school. Last week was a not so good one for us. On Monday, Braden's school called right after lunch and said he fell at recess and busted his lip. After a quick trip to the dentist to be sure he did not hurt his teeth, all checked out fine!!! Then on Tuesday, our dog Katie was attacked by two pitbulls in the neighborhood. She is in a electric fence, but she got out and unfortunately went into the wrong yard. Thankfully, Marc found Oreo before she got attacked also.Vet says she should make a full recovery though. Poor old girl!!!
Friday, was grandparent's day at the kids' school. Mom and dad were in St. Louis, so I went instead. They did such a good job. Ella's group sang "I Love You Lord" and it brought tears to my eyes. Braden's group sang Ferro, Ferro and also did awesome job!! I am lucky to have a long four day weekend off with my kiddos! Tomorrow we are headed to the pumpkin patch!! I just LoVe FaLL!!
I officially have a second grader and a pre-K"er". Last Friday was their first day of school and they have had a blast so far!!! Braden just seems to LoVe his teacher and Ella cannot wait to get to school each day!!Ella is only going half of a school day, but sometimes she thinks she needs to just stay with Maka. She is not so sure about going EVERY day!!! Ella did end of with a cold at the end of the week, so she has missed the last two days, but hopefully she will be ready to go back on Monday! Braden is doing well, I am just hoping this is going to be a good year for them both!!
At Open House, Ella went straight to the baby dolls!! Surprise, surprise!!!
This was a VERY fast summer! We only had about 6 weeks and they sure did fly by! I started back to school yesterday. I was definitely not wanting to go back yet. I was enjoying my time at home with the kids, doing as we pleased, and going to the pool.
One Saturday, Marc and I did something we normally do not do. We just decided to take off and take the kids on one last HOORAH before I had to go back to work. So, we headed to Tybee Island. We had a blast! The kids loved jumping in the waves and making snadcastles. Then, we ate dinner at Spanky's in Savannah. On Sunday, we went to our old stomping grounds at the mall and Marc got a Bass Pro Shop fix!! It was a fast weekend, but it was a BLAST. Thanks Marc for taking us!! We love you!!
Ella said she was going to take a nap! I asked her who put their hat like that to sleep and she said, "Papa does after he golfs!" Gotta LoVe her!!! Not to mention that she thinks he plays with Tiger Woods everyday!!
Ella has been going to dance camp all week. She LoVeS going to dance. She even informed me earlier in the week that I need to get her there earlier because she wanted to be there first so she could get in the front row, middle spot!!! She adores her teacher and wants to stand right behind her. Braden has been going to Karate camp all week, but he does not like me to take his picture :( Maybe I can sneak a few tomorrow. Here are a few pictures of Ella from this week.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 8 years and have been blessed with the two most precious children in the world. Braden was born on Halloween in 2002. He is a very active, smart little boy, who challenges us each day. Our lives would be very dull without him! Ella was born on May 7, 2006 and when I saw her I thought she was the most beautiful little girl I have ever seen, and of course I still think so. She is a very thoughtful and caring little girl. I am very blessed to have my parents who live so close to help share in the lives of my children each day. I love shopping on the internet, dressing my children in cute clothes, anything monogrammed, reading books to help make me a better parent, going to the beach, having family time, jesus, contemporary christian music and just being a mom.
