Easter 2011

Our Easter weekend began on Saturday morning at the annual Reynold's Egg Hunt. It is always a blast and this year was one of the best ever. They put over over 7, 000 eggs, and it takes about 30 seconds to collect them all!!! The kids had a great time as usual.

 Ready for the egg hunt!!

 Waiting is so HaRd!

Here is a small view of the 7,000 eggs.
 And they're off!

Ella would not go see the Easter bunny without her brother!! He was kind enough to go with her!

Then, that afternoon we had to finish dying our eggs.

Finally, Easter Sunday arrived and we were off to church, an egg
hunt, and dinner with my parents.

We had a very BLeSsEd Easter!! We hope that you did too!!

I HeArT Baseball Season

Especially watching these two!!!! (Braden is on 1st base)

Well, it's that time of the year again.....baseball season. Both of my sweet kiddos are playing this year. Ella is playing wee ball, and Braden is playing baseball on the pitching machine. They are both doing awesome and I just LoVe watching them. Braden's game will definitely put you on the edge of your seat though. They are real nail-biting games!!

My girl ready to play her first game.

Ella's 1st Tooth

Yesterday was an exciting day for Ella, but a sad day for me! She lost her first tooth.  Her bottom tooth has been lose for awhile, but she would not let us pull it out! So,yesterday morning, it fell out during breakfast and she did not even know.  She did not notice until she was brushing her teeth.  Ella told her daddy that she thought she ate a bad Rice Krispie so she threw it on the floor! Yep, the bad Rice Krispie was her tooth!! We will not forget this day because yesterday would have been Ella's greatgrandma's birthday.

They say girls loose teeth earlier than boys, but I was not quite ready for this yet!! I do not want "my baby" to grow up. I just want her to stay a baby forever!!!

I knew this day was coming, so I took a one last picture before she lost her tooth.

Now, here she is.....minus one tooth!

Sweet Sentences and a Sweet Girl

The other night while I was cooking dinner Ella was cutting paper. I thought she was just cutting random things, but she was actually cutting rectangles. Then she made her very own sentence with her sight word. She asked me how to spell car and chain, but she did the rest!! I was soooo proud!!!

The first sentence says "Who is in the car."  The second one says "The dog is on the chain".

Our Project

For Valentine's Day, my kiddos made their teachers a clipboard.  This is a great project that even little hands can do.  It is very easy and turns out very cute.

First, get a plain clip board, scrapbook paper that coordinates, fabric glue, mod podge, and matching ribbon.

The kids tear the paper and glue on the clipboard.

Make sure to cover the whole clipboard by overlapping the paper.  Do this on both sides!!

Next, you cover it with one coat of Mod Podge and let dry!

Add ribbons to the top and there it is! :)

Rover the Mutt

The first graders and second graders at Braden's school put on the play ARF!  It was very cute and they did such a good job.  Braden was Rover the mutt.  I did not realize that he was the star of the show!! He had to recite lines from Shakesphere in the play and he was the dog that won the dog show!! He has always been a great actor!! The plays that they do at school are always over the top, and this was no exception.

Braden is down on the floor in the front!

 Reciting his Shakesphere lines!
